Profile
In 1992 Sarah completed 4 years of training at Rycotewood, a specialist design and furniture making college in Oxford. On completing her course with distinctions she immediately started work with top cabinet-makers Senior & Carmichael, where she put her skills into practice, creating unique commissioned pieces. After several years Sarah moved to Kenya where she spent 5 years running a wrought iron furniture company, but she became homesick and missed working with wood. In 1999 she returned to Northern Ireland to set up Sarah McCloy Furniture, she began by restoring and repairing antique pieces in a small shed. Now Sarah runs a fully operational workshop where she makes reproduction furniture and works closely with her clients to create custom pieces.
